Very attractive refreshments in the form of white ice cream bearing a blue Fhi Helta shield were served -when the dancing ceased. Delta Delta Delta Friday evening Delta Delta Delta entertained for their freshmen at a fcouso party. Punch was served for ihe dancers during the evening. Delta Upsilon About, thirty couples were enter tained by Delta Upsilon at a house party last Saturday evening. The chap erons for the party were Mr. and Mrs. Sam Waiish. Mr. and Mrs. Burt and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Clark. Refresh ments were served at the close of the evening. Acacia Acacia held a house dance Friday evening at their chapter house. The rooms wore attractively decorated in the fraternity colors of black and oranse and around the walls hung favors for the guests. The chaperons vere Mr. and Mrs. Elwell, Mr. and Mrs. Marshalle Powers, and Mrs. W. A. Drown. Phi Kappa Psl Phi Kappa Psl gave a waffle break fast for Karpa Alpha Theta Satur day morning. After the breakfast, which was excellent, there was danc ing. Ail University Mixer The first All University Mixer of the year as. held in the Armory Sat urday night. In honor of the Fresh men for whom it was given the de corations were green. Entertainment was furnished by the following peo ple: Margur-rite Munger, reading, Hermanns Paer a aolo, Margaret Perry a polo, Mary and Jacquillne Bost gave a selection on the violin and piano, Florence Williams a read ing Dorothy Seacrest and Dorothy Work did some aesthetic dancing. Re freshments were served in the form of Ice cream and wafers. Alpha Gamma Rho Alpha Gamma Rho entertained about thirty couples at a house party Friday evening. A lawn party and dance acre the forms of entertainment. Sigma Nu Sigma Nu gave a house danco for about thirty five couples Saturday night. Streamers In the fraternity colors of black, white and gold were used in the form of decorations. Doctor and Mrs. J. C. Simpson of Omaha and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Dod son of Lincoln were the chaperons. At the close of the party refresh ments were served for the guests. Silver Lynx A dance was given by the Sliver Lynx Saturday, rink roses the fra--ternity flower were used for de corations. Mr. and Mrs. Marcus Poteet and Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Brooke were chaperons. Ices and wafers were served at the end of the party. Chi Omega Chi Omega entertained for their freshmen Saturday evening with a house danco. The fall decorations gave a very pleasing appearance to the rooms. Alpha Sigma Phi Among the house parties of the week end was that of Alpha Sigma Phi. Besides the active cahpter a number of out of town guests were present. The chaperons for the even ing were Mr. and Mrs. L. O. Why man, Mr. and Mrs. Dana Cole, Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Crandall. Phi Gamma Delta Phi Gamma Delta entertained about fifty couples at a house dance Sat urday. The rooms were pleasingly decorated in fraternity colors. The chaperons for the evening were Mr. end Mrs. Bell. PI Kappa Phi Pi Kappa Phi entertained tweVj five couples at a house party Fri day night. A weddin; of interest to university people took place at Trinity Metho dist church Sept. 27. when Miss Elite1 Joy Bailey and Frederick Aldrlch were married. The church was beautifully de corated with flowers and ferns. The bride smalds were Marian Youngblut, Katherine Harnly, Thelma Harnly, Florine Reed and Betty Dee. Velma Wtsherd was a maid of honor. Mrs. Aldrlch Is a daughter of Mr. md Mrs. William Bailey of Lincoln, and Mr. Aldrlch is a son of ex-Gov ernor and Mrs. Chester H. Aldrlch. Both the bride and groom are well known and popular in university circles.
