Mnnnger New Kdltivr for tills Iimue KI.IMUIM.K I.OWK THE LIONS CLUB President (luy Reed of tlie Lions club is to be congratulated upon hic splendid work in helping needy uni-i vers ft y students find places in which they might work during the coniin? year. His organization made several drives among the business concert's of Lincoln and loeated many nart-tiao positions that Nebraska students could fill. Applicants names were tak en and the neediest ones given wore" first. The entire manner in whiih it vas handled Is a thing worthy of men tion and many Nebraska students arr very thankful for the help they ol tained from the clu'o. The idea is a mikhty fine one and next year hoiM is the king pin of the lot. From the time that Si Potlocks in Ilickvllle erected a shining "Hotel De I loss" sign above the entrance to his livery barn, up to the era wheretno dern industrial giants reserve a mil lion dollars per year for advertising purposes, imagination has played a strong hand won. Nine times out of ten the dividing line between mediocrity mid super iority is an unhampered imagination s-anily used. To many people, imagina tion is regarded as a .child-like char acteristic. They forget that all around them are men who have kept and shap ened the imagination of their youthful days, and with it are now making the smoke pour from the funnel of the liner that crosses the sea of success in less than six days. College students, if anyone, should be taught to nurse their imaginations sanely. The University that does not slight that part of a student's educa tion is the one that serves its con stituency best. UNI NOTICES Christian Science Society.
