SOON READY FOR USE
To Charge IOn0 Dollar Membership

Tickets on Sale.
A part of the University tennis
courts will be ready this week. Di
rector of Athletics Fred V. Lueli
ring announced Monday arternoon
that about eight of the courts would
De ready and that the additional
courts would be opened up for the
use of the students as soon as they
are put In readiness.
At a meeting of the executive com
mittee of the University of Nebras
ka Tennis club Monday afternoon it
was decided that a one dollar fee
should be charged th0 students and
faculty members for use of the court
during the remainder of the semes
ter. The committee feels that
making a light fee more students will
be encouraged to use the courts.

For the present the courts will b"
'for the use of students and faculiv
members only. With the aopening of
the entire set of courts those in
charge may decide to admit the cit -
i lens to membrshlp under certain eon
; ditions.
To play on the courts a student
must have paid the one dollar mom
bershlp charge or paid the daily nd
mission charge which will probably
be 25 cents. The memberships will be
non-transferable.
A man will be In charge of the,
courts at all times and the plan is to
keep the courts In excellent condition.
The membership tickets In the ten
nis club will probably be on sale at f
the Student Publication office Wed

ZOOLOGY STUDENTS FORM
S NEW ORGANIZATION

The Zoological Society elected olTl
cers at its regular monthly social and
business meeting Tuesday evening
The following were elected: Presi
dent, F. Q. Meserve; vice president,
George Sims; secretary, Gladys
Weese; treasurer, Genevieve Roberts;
sergeant-at-arnis, Gayle Pickwoll. Ap
proximately twelve members were at
the meeting.
The Zoological society was or
ganized this year by a group of stu
dents who wished to keep in touch
with current zoological events. It has
thirteen members, three of whom are
of Sigma XI. One or two were elected
to Phi Beta Kappa. Membership Is
by election. To be eligible a student
is required to be taking at lcist his
second year of zoology or to have
more than one year's credit in zoo
logy.
Zoology students Interested in ihe

meeting, which will be held May 5.
It will be scientific, social and busi
ness. New members will be elected
soon.

Dr. Laura B. Pfeiffer, associate pro
fessor of European history, spoke at
th0 Faculty Dinner Club banquet,
spoke on "The Present Attempt at
World Organization." She also ad
dressed the Peru students at chapel

by a car and drove from there the 12
miles to Peru in a driving rain. She
told an audience of three hundred
at the chapel of her experiences in
Germany and France in 1920. Miss
Pfeiffer was the guest of Professor
Mattie Ellis of the distory department
at luncheon at th Faculty Women's
Boarding Club.
