PROF. GRUMMANN SPEAKS
ON ER VINE'S JANE CLEGG
WORLD OUTLOOK CLASSES
START EARLY NEXT MONTH
"Under Our Flag," is the name pf
the class for girls which discusses the
home missionary work as well as the
activities in American territories. Dis
cussion of the mountain whites will
be taken up, as well as the city pro
blems and industrial community ser
vice. In addition rural leadership,
frontier service and the "work iu
Alaska will be discussed.
Arrangements for scheduling the
classes at as manjr different hours aa
posisble so as not to conflict with
other classes are being made. The
hours as well as the leaders for the
different classes will be announced as
soon as they are completed.
Committee of 200 Get-Together.
The executive council of the Com
mittee of 200 has decided that on Sat
urday evening, February Bth the mem
bers of the committee of 200 will hold
a get together social evening. The
World Outlook Classes will be dis
cussed. Committees have been ap
pointed to arrange ofr a place and pro- j
gram. The meeting will "be for the j
purpose of giving the members of the !
committee a chance to become ac-1
quainted with one another. i
Stdents who are interested in en- j
tering either the mixed discussion ,
groups or the separate classes under ;
the World Outlook Classes series 1
should keep the fact in mind during j
registration. Copies of the class sche
dule should be secured and University i
classes arranged so as not to conflict j
with the hour of the class which they
desire to enter. Any further informa-1
tion of the classes may be secured ;

Prof. Paul II. Grummann has de
livered the fourth of his series on
contemporary dramatists before the
Drama League of Omaha. The subject
of this most recent lecture was Er
vine's Jane Clegg.
On Monday, January 24, Professor
Grummann will deliver two addresses
before the University of South Da
kota. The first of these, upon Ar
tistic Illusion, will be given before the
morning convocation; the second will
be a part of the art exhibition for
that evening.
Dr. Sealock was in attendance a
the .conference of superintendents,
principals and board members heiu
at York Thursday and Friday of last
week.
PLANS BEING MADE FOR
UNIVERSITY ART EXHIBIT
Preparations are under way for the I
University's annual art exhibition, j
which will this year be held in the
Art Gallery from February to 25th. j
It is planned to have a collection of
paintings of early American masters,
the works of Gilbert, Stuart, Copeley, I
Chester and of other men of like tale'nt j
giving proof of the worth of this col-1
lection. j
In addition there will be a collection j
of forty modern paintings, which is 1
now being shown at Brookings, S. D., j
and fourteen paintings by Guy Wig- j
gins, one of whose works the Art As
sociation ahs purchased. This exhibi-!
tion was recently shown at the Chi-I
t-ago Art Institute. The size of the '
three combined exhibitions has made
it necessary to hang the paintaings of j
the Nebraska Art Association and of !
the University in the other rooms of '
the school of" Fine Arts. j
