Featuring Eugene O'Brien, this is a play of red tape and politics, wherein the "hero" surprises us by proving himself not a pampered rich man's on but the man of the hour. Anna Nilsson. as a means of his success, plays especially well also. Orpheum. An extravaganza in color and rich luxurious velvets, silks and laces is the "Love Shop," featuring Eddie Vogt Very elaborate settings and costumes and a chorus of eight good looking girls make this little minia ture musical comedy very interest ing and clever. A short one-act skit "Follow On," wherein the praises of the Salvation Army Lass is sounded, is also good. These two make up the headliners and have several contributing acta. 'Something to Thing About" Because she was afraid to do what she knew was right, she nearly ruined her life and broke the hearts of the two who loved her best. This Cecil DeMHle feature at the Lyric is attracting everyone. Its all-star cast gives the picture tho advantage of being superbly interpreted and not only are its character studies good but they are combined, making an enjoyable picture that is not soon forgotten for it really does give one aomething to think about. Freshmen committees on en tertainment and refreshments will stand as first announced. WEDDINGS. Strode-Jones. Josephine Strode, ex-'20, became the bride of Carlisle Jones at the home of the bride Wednesday evening. The service took place at 8 o'clock. The double ring ceremony was. performed by Prof. F. A. Stuff. Before the cere mony Prof. Jean L. Schaefer, Mirium Little and Wilbur Cheneweth played "Ellgle." "I Love You Truly" and "A Perfect Day." The ushers, James Lucas, Stanley Ingalls, Stanley Hall, Frances Dlers and Alexander Wolfe came first Then the bridesmaids, Lenore Burkett, Daisy Parks, Adelaide Elam, Dorothy Hippie, Winifred Merryhew, Peggy Mathews and Daisy Graff. Ralla Van Kirk of Neligh acted as best man. Following the wedding ceremony was a reception to which several hundred were Invited. The bride attended the University and Is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma and has been prominent in dramatic circles. Mr. Jones gradu ated from the University last spring and from the Law College. He was a member of Alpha Sigma Phi, Phi Alpha Delta, Sigma Delta Chi and 'he Dramatic club. Mr. and Mrs. Jones left last night for a wedding 'rip to Kansas City and St Louis. After their return they will live in Lincoln. Gold-Simon. An attractive wedding of the fall season took place Wednesday eve ning at .the Lincoln hotel, when Miss Helen Gold became tho bride of Joseph Simon. The ball room, where the wedding took place was beauti fully decorated and following the ceremony a dinner was served to the quests. The bride was graduated from Lincoln high school in 1917, nnd attended the University. After a wedding trip Mr. and Mrs. Simon will make their home in Lincoln. . Miss Kathryn Talt entertained the house girls of Alpha Delta at dinner Tuesday evening. The dinner table was prettily decorated with chrysanthemums and lighted candles of the same shade. evening was spent informally. pink with The Paul H.
