The zoological seminar wan reorgan
ized at a meeting Monday evening.
The membership of the seminar Is
made up of faculty members in the
department and graduate students.

scholar, has arrived In England,
where he will enter the Lincoln Col
lege at Oxford University. He sailed
to England with thirty-two other
Rhodes scholars on the steamship
Aquitania. Russell Teters of Omaha,
former Cornell man, won the scholar
ship this year.

Pearl Younger Burns, '01, both of
Geneva, were here for Homecoming
day. The former is president of the
tillmore county alumni club.
Frances Gettys, '18. of University
Place, has returned from the Pacific
coast where she spent the summer as
manager and Boloist with the "Sym
phonic Sextette." She is registered
for graduate work in the University
this year but will do concert work
again next summer.
Dr. S. A. Mahood, '10, who has been
in charge of research on the chemis
try of wood cellulose and essential
oils at the U. S. Forest Products labo
ratory. University of Wisconsin, for
the past three years 'has lesigned to
become associate professor in charge
of organic chemistry at Tulane Uni
versity. New Orleans. The Mahoods
made the trip from Madison to New
Orleans by auto; they motored from
Madison, Wis., to Lincoln for the
alumni reunion In June.
