The financial remuneration for work
on The Daily Nebraskan being small
the only incentive for reporters and
news editors is the hope of promotion
for meritorious service and if this
hope is denied them, the organization
can not be maintained.

Editor of the paper, it was my earn
est desire at all times to give the stu
dents the best publication possible.
Whether I succeeded or not, is a
question which is logically one for
the subscribers to decide. I welcome
an expression of their opinion in the
referendum vote which is being taken
this week.
'I regret very much that the pres
ent situation exists and, for the wel
fare of tne University, I hope that a
similar difficulty does not arise again
Personally, I am pleased that Ui stu
dents are to have the right' to decide

4. Arts and Science College (ex

Juniors and Seniors, who may
be consulted in departmental of

lege, Pharmacy and Pre-Medic
and Teachers College enroll in
Memorial Hall. Admitted by
ticket. Enter from Twellth
Street Exit by west door.
4. Pay fees at Registrar's office. Ad
mitted by ticket.
