Freshmen at a house dance. Purple
and white, the fraternity colors were
used in the streamers and shades Tor
the lamps. Chaperons were Mr. and

John . Bell. Matt Volti, of Omaha,
was an out-of-town guest.

Delta Tau Delta
Delta Tan Delta entertained thirty
couples at a bouse dance given at the
chapter house. Purple, white ana
gold, the fraternity colors, were used
as the motif for the decorations. Mr.
and Mrs. Arnold North, and Dr. and
Mrs. E. R Finney acted as chaperons.
Sigma Alpha Epsilon
Condra-MacFarlane Engagement
Dr. and Mrs. George E. Condra
have announced the engagement of
their daughter, Mary Cornelia, to
Robert MacFarlane ot Sheridan. Wyo.
The wedding will take place May 22.
Miss Condra was graduated from the
University in 1915 where she was a
member of Alpha Chi Omega and
Silver Serpent. Mr. MacFarlane was
a member of Sigma Chi.

Thi Kappa Psi was host to ninety

room. During the intermission the
members grouped themselves around
the orchestra and sang several fra
ternity songs, accompanied by six
saxophone players who followed by

Cadet Officers Association
The Cadet Officers Association was
host at an informal dancing party to
fifty couples in the ball room of the
Lincoln Hotel. Around the walls
were stacked bayonets and on each
side of the entrance door were two
machine guns. Blue and gold stream
ers were hung from each end of the
ceiling. Refreshments were served by-
several girls dressed in soldiers uni
forms. Captain and Mrs. John Hauser,
Lieutenant and Mrs. Murphy, and
Lieutenant Challis were invited as
chaperons.
The mothers of Sigma Alpha Epsilon
were entertained at the chapter house
in the afternoon. Following a lunch
eon the guesls were driven about the
city in automobiles. The latter part
of the afternoon was devoted to a re
ception. Dinner was served at seven
o'clock and after this a theater party
was given in their honor. The guests
present were: Mrs. W. W. Hopkins,
Miss Ethel and Miss Alice Hopkins.

April 24 at Council Bluffs. Mrs. Hus

and is prominent in dramatic circles.
Mr. Hussey is a member of Sigma I in
Ensilon and the "N" club. Both in
tend to complete the school year after
which they will spend the summer
traveling.

Sigma Nu
Sigma Nu was host to the mothers
of the fraternity. After a dinner at
the ehapier house a formal reception
was held, when each guest present
was presented with a Sigma Nu
The annual Engineers' banquet was
held at the Grand Hotel Saturday
evening. Seventy student engineers
attended. H. R. Itton presided, and
the following responded to toasts:
Prof. Clark E. Mickey, Prof. William
L. DeBaufre, Oorge K. Gunn, F. T.
Darrow and H. M. Glebe, '20.
On the menu the novel expressions
'concrete," "boiler plate," "rubber
belting." and "beam stresses," meant
only the friends of the banquet fame:
chicken, rolls and peas. The course
began with gasolene and gravel (fruit
cocktail) anl finished with cresote
and cable rope (coffee and cigars).

Phi Kappa Psi
The twenty-fifth annual banquet of
Phi Kappa Tsi was held in the Lin
rnin Hotel for one hundred and fifty
active and alumni members. Red and
preen, the fraternity colors, were
used to decorate the tables. At one
end of the room was the large electric
ally lighted fraternity shield. Be
tween two of the courses the Fresh
men in the fraternity presented a
short farce, "The Freshman Study
Hour." William Ramsey, as toast
master, called upon lhe following for
