John P. Dudgeon, '09, a graduate of
the University's engineering college,
Is now mayor of Norfolk, Nebr., and
has written Dean O. V. P Stout that
he is on the lookout for a "live-wire"
city engineer. Dudgeon is only one
of the many mayors that the engineer
ing college has turned out. This may
seem a peculiar situation at first, en
gineering vs. politics, but especially
where the city manager or commis
sion plan of city government is in
operation, is it true that engineers
make splendid municipal executives.
