ten a letter to Professor J. E. LcRos

that he Is with the university detach
ment at Liverpool, England. He writes:
March. 12. 1919.
"No doubt you are much surprised
to hear from me here at Liverpool.
1 was most fortunate and was tent
here to he assigned to an English uni
versity for about a four months' course.
1 think that is an opportunity of a
life-time and I'm here to get all there
is in it. 1 applied to go to the UNI
VERSITY OF LONDON and me a
course in Political Economy and Fi
nance and I hope that goes through,
as I understand the opportunities
there are fine. I have been here about
a week and have spent some time
seeing interesting Liverpool. Yester
day 1 went down to Chester, which Is
a characteristic English town ami very
interesting. I'm hoping that after this
course, I can return to the Univer
sity of Nebraska next September. Sin
