of the Methodist Episcopal Church,
Chancellor Avery has appointed a
committee to administer ilie loans

Methodist students in the University

A. Muff of the Elm Park M. E.
Church; R v. W. E. J. Gratz, pastor of
Ft. Paul M. E. Church; and Assistant
Professor R. E. Cochran of Grace M.
E. Church. These gentlemen will ad
minister such loans to Methodist stu
dents as the general board may be
ablb to grant to this university. It is
not yet known how much money will
be available, but the university au
thorities regard the movement as Im
portant in supplementing the student
tut-;'. fund, a fund which has been In
existent &r W1 year?, It will be
recalled that thi an fund was dart
ed by a contribute from John tl.
Webster, now regent of le universitj',
and that since his Initial gift several
important donations have ben re
ceived. While the total money now in the
student loan fund amounts to only ap
proximately $5,000, some of the older
universities have funds of $50,000 or
more, which are kept constantly re

The Senior class meeting which was
to be held today at 11 o'clock has been
postponed to next Tuesday on account
of the sale of University Night tickets,
which will be sold at the fame hour
at the Temple.
Christian Science Society
The Christian Science Society of the
University w.ll meet Thursday eve
ning U 7:30 in Faculty hall. Temple
building. A cordial invitation is ex
tended to all students, alumni, and fac

Track Tryouts Postponed
Tryouts for the big indoor meet at
Kansas City have bevn postponed, due
to the changes In the date of the K. C.
A. C. contest from March 8 to March
29.
