Delta and Betas Struggle
The Delta Taus and the Betas staged
the fastest round of the series to date
by see sawing throughout the battle,
the Delta Taus finally winning 8 to 7.
Three times the score was tied and
reversed. The exciting sldeliners
whooped and yelled like the Valley
title was at stake. Dr. Clapp's siren
cut in on the struggle while the Betas
were trying for the lucky shot thnt
would have put them on top of the pile.

AGGIES IMPROVE CHANCES

husker mixer that the Tigers may pick

have almost given up predictions, for
It seems to grow more certain every

AMES PAPERS LAUD WORK
OF NEBRASKA GRAPPLERS
(Continued from Page One)
closed by the following vllppings from
the Ames Tr.ibune:
"Birch, local 158-pounder, staged a
wonderful comeback In the third peri
od of his bout. Fuchs, his opponent,
pinned his shoulders to the mat in the
second. After bulling around the mat
for the first three or four minutes of
the last period, Birch went behind and
took the aggressive, thereby piling up
points sufficient to give him the
match."
Dobson Not Thrown
"For the first time in many matches
Captain Schalk. was forced to be con
tent with a referee's decision. In Dob
son, a veteran from last year, Schalk
met a worthy foe and although not a
great offensive man is a wonderful de
fensive wrestler."
Nebraska wrestling fans have a
great treat in store for them if Dr.
Clapp succeeds in bringing the West
ern Inter,cillegiate wrestling tourna
ment to Lincoln. The Nebraska coach
is trying hard to bring this about, but
may not succeed this year and the
Cornhusker wrestling season may
reach its climax in the university free-for-all,
which will be open to all grap
plers in the Cornhusker camp.
