One of the worst pedagogical blunders a teacher can make is "un derrating the powers and proclivities of the learner, be says. Professor Grummann criticizes those who advo cate teaching without comparing the subject t-o other related subjects. He points out the importance of Latin to the student. High school teachers often must ad vise students what language to take. Prospective teachers then should study the relative value of languages and be able to give Bound advice. DID YOU EVER? The director in charge desires that there be a large crowd of spectators in the grand stand in order to give the proper effect of Nebraska's support nd loyalty to the military depart ment. The department's reasons for tak ing these pictures are: to keep a rec ord of the military work of the Uni versity; to show tbe films at the pa triotic meetings throughout the state and to help carry on the Liberty loan 1 and other campaigns dealing with the prosecution of the war. , Former pictures of the competitive drills shorn- up the drilling, maneuvers, companies, marching and band in a most credible manner, but the essen tial thing lacking is a large crowd of spectators in the grandstand. Un less this defect is remeuS today very few feetoi film mill be taken. It is hoped that the event is staged in the proper form. The motion pictures will eventually be assembled with the Nebraska Teels for distribution and used in the high schools. Senior Pins U. OF N. PINS Peart Set RINGS Both Gold nd Silver HALLETT Uni.
