Fun," play a little darkey duologue
and give an imitation of a colored
speaker haranguing his audience,
which is said to be a comic gem and
a most accurate chafacter impersona
tion. . .
George Rolland, having worked
himself out of a job "Fixing the Fur
nace," is now operating "A Vacuum
Cleaner." Impersonating "Tim Ma
guire" in charge of a peripatetic
wagon vacuum cleaner outfit. Rol
land and his assistants are sent to
the aristocratic home of Mrs. Brown'
The clash of proletariat and aristo
crat is said 'to serve as a preliminary
diagnosis if you don't laugh, see a
doctor.
Ray W. Snow indulges in a smart
and highly sophisticated monologue,
delivered in an easy, nonchalant man
ner. His talk is spicy without being
risque; he is a moralist without being
a bore, and concludes his monologue
with a gem of drama.
Elsa Ruegger one of the Joint
headliners is famous as the Belgian
cellist. She has played both, here and
abroad with leading symphony and
other musical societies and has won
unequalled success on various concert
tours. She will be assisted by the
celebrated conductor, Mr. Edmund
Lichtenstein, and Zhay Clark, harp
ist.' Kathleen Clifford, making her first
American appearance after a solid
year in London where she was the
featured performer in two empire
Music Hall revues is the tiniest of
the important women on the Amer
ican stage, being considerably under
five feet in height and weighing only
93 pounds. She has become so well
known as the most artistic of boy im
nersonators that the people some
times forget her ability in feminine
