GENEVA DELEGATES UNIVERSITY ASSOCIATION AN NOUNCES PLANS OF ANNUAL ' STUDENT CONFERENCE The University of Nebraska Y. W. C. A. hopes to have at least fourteen delegates attend the annual central student conference which will be held at Lake Geneva, Wis., June 19 to 29. Any University woman who can at tend the conference Is asked to notify either'Mlss Fannie Drake, Y. W. C. A. secretary, or Mary Hedrlck, '18, chair man of the conference committee. The girls who will represent the associa tion will be announced next week. The forenoons of the conference days will be devoted to study. Besides the regular bible work classes on mod ern problems will be held. The pro gress and effect of Christianity in South America, Turkey, and India, will be especially emphasized. Country life and woman's community responsibili ties will also be studied. The last period of the morning is to be given over to the consideration of the tech nical association problems in various councils, Including sessions for presi dents, cabinet members and general secretaries. The afternoons are left entirely free for rest and recreation. The plans for this part of the day are in .the hands of girls who are athletic lead ers in their own colleges. All kinds of intercollegiate tournaments have been arranged, tennis, basketball, baseball, hiking and 1 water sports. There will be a boat ride around the lake, excursions to the famous Yerkes observatory and a number of informal picnics. The cost of the trip has been esti mated at about $45. W. A. A. All co-eds who wlh to help In tho work are asked to notify Dean Mary Graham as soon as con venient. Today, when the general canvass of the city begins, Lincoln women will start a tour which will include every house in Lincoln. The town has been divided into sections, and the work ers will make the routes given them in automobiles. Booths and tables will be placed In most of the stores and hotels to reach those who might otherwise be missed. It Is in this work that University women are to help. ' .
