Students of the University of Wis
consin are now waging a tight to ob
tain free speech at the University.
The fight comes as a result of the re
fusal by the university authorities to
allow Max Eastman to deliver a lec
ture to students in one of the univer
sity halls. The students are petition
ing the use of at least one auditorium
for the discussion by anyone of any
public question before the student
body. Ex.

More War on Moustaches
Still the attempt to exterminate
moustaches among uudergrads at lite
various universities continues. A
sophomore at McGllI appeared after
the fray with half of his "Chaplain"
moustache gone, and the remaining
half painted a bright blue color. Need
less to say it was not long ere the
whole of his upper Up was clean

Military Courses at Brown
The new military courses at Brown
University are well under way. The
enrollment in the classes already
totals 254, and 2C0 rides have been

Track Team Recruiting
At Harvard University they were
not able to get over fifty men out for
the track squad, and as a result they
had what they called a recruiting cam
paign. Not over twenty men showed
up for track practice, and so the coach
and scvral steadies had a week of
conscription. In the last four years
Harvard has won only one dual meet
from Vale, and the Harvard Crimson
j hopes that out of their present 2,500
j men they can draw enough to put out
a track team that will defeat Yale.
Ohio In a canvass conducted on
the Ohio campus recently to enter
tain the popularity of various re
ligions among the students, it was
found that the Methodists claimed
1.6C4 students, Presbyterians, 698,
and Lutherans stood third with 339
advocates. Ex.
Elope From Dance

ered that two of the honor guests, an
alumnus of the chapter, and one of the
young ladies had disappeared. All
search for them, even up to noon of
the next day, proved futile. The
