We, therefore, respectfully petition your honorable body to establish such a department at the University of Ne braska with a resident physician and nurse, who are to look after the health bf the students and treat all cases that may come to their notice. PROPOSE RURAL SCHOOL LAWS RURAL SCHOOL PATRONS SUG GEST BILLS TO LEGISLATURE Hope School Near Humboldt Subject of Special Attention at Agricul ture Meeting Two bills looking toward the better ment of the rural schools of Nebraska will be presented to the legislature as a result of the meeting of the Rural School Patrons' association at the state farm yesterday morning. One of the proposed measures will provide for state co-operation with the extension department to establish a short course or winter term for boys and girls not in regular schools. The other request to be made of the legis lature by the association is that the state printer let contracts for text books and sell them to rural school districts at 5 per cent above cost.
