FRANK A PETERSON
Class "05. Law '10
Democratic Candidate for
COUNTY ATTORNEY
Five hundred students of the Unl
versity of Nebraska will probably vote
n Lincoln on November 7. Many of
the candidates for public office, espe-
ially in Lancaster county, are former
students of the University of NebraS'
ka. Both from the standpoint of citi
zenship and of interest and loyalty to
the University of Nebraska, the stu
dents are probably anxious to learn
all they can about the progress of
former Nebraska graduates in public
life.
Mr. Frank A. Peterson, A. B., '05,
LL. B., '10, is the democratic nominee
for county attorney of Lancaster coun-
y. In the University of Nebraska,
Mr. Teterson was a member of Phi
Alpha Tau, Phi Delta Phi, Palladian
.literary society, German club and
Latin club, and was active in the work
of each society. He also interested
himself in University debate and was
a member of the University debating
team against Iowa in 1905. In schol
arship he also distinguished himself,
having won both Phi Beta Kappa and
Theta Kappa Nu honors. Since com
pleting his college course Mr. Peter
son has practiced law with the law
firm of Mockett & Peterson in this
city.
Mr. Peterson is waging a very ac
tlve and vigorous campaign upon the
proposition that the county attorney's
office should be administered as a pub
lic trust and not as a private law of
fice with the county merely as one of
Its clients.
