La Pointe, Wis., where he spent the

Miss Kathryn Mellor, '18, visited
her sister in Springfield, 111., for the
summer.
Lyle Rushton, '18, will not return to
school. He has taken a position in
Seattle.
Miss Helen Curtice and Miss Lulu
Mitchell were at Ten Sleep, Wyo., this
summer.
John Charles Wright, '19, spent the
month of August in Chicago visiting
relatives.
Nason Young, '18, will not return
to school this year. He is employed
in Kansas City.
Victor Halligan, '17, will be assist
ant football coach at Wesleyan univer
sity this year.
Max Miller, '17, was elected grand
treasurer of the Phi Lamba Epsilou
fraternity at the convention last
month.
Miss Norma Thompson and Miss
Sarah Risdon have registered for spe
cial work in connection with their
study in music.
Willard Folsom, '18, will enter the
semi-finals of the Country club golf
tournament. Mr. Folsom has been the
champion for the last three years.
Prof. G. A. Stephens has returned
from Washington, D. C, where he has
been on the economic staff, assigned
to the Investigation of the lumber
industry.
Hugo Birkuer, of Cornhusker foot
ball fame, was in Lincoln last week
on his to Kent, O., where he has ac
cepted a responsible position with a
large forest company.

spondent for the Omaha World-Herald.
Mr. Metcalfe is also doing feature
work for several large eastern maga
zines, from the border.
