Meetings are held every month and at each meeting a small German play is presented before the members of the club and such others as are interested in coming. Besides this the club presents at least one large play before the public each year. , Last year was an unusrally active one for the club. Suderman's "Das Glueck in Winkel," was produced be fore the Germans of Lincoln in Jan uary, nd the same play was given at Grand Island, Hastings, and Colum bus, during University Week and also at Omaha and Dunbar. Two smaller plays, "Die Schulrei- terin" and "Jugendliebe," were pre sented before the Frauen Hilfs-Verein in the spring and were also played in Omaha. ALLIES WALLOP THE KEARNEYITES (Continued from page X) go round stopped only when the Allies became winded and were unable to run bases. The fifth inning was a repetition of the fourth with a little added for sauce. Mickle made a home run on a nice two base hit and the others hit almost at will. Richards pitched gilt edged ball for the Allies and Theison did excellent work behind the bat. It was rumored that Diickey was looking for some of the Kearney bunch following the picnic game as he needed a Tew new recruits. Tt is well for him that he entered Into -no contracts with the Kearney tribe as they certainly had visions of St. Joseph's unenviable position following this game with the Allies.
