Decorations were in yellow and white, the color scheme being carried out with white carna tions, jonquils, tulips and apple blos soms. Flora Boyles was toastmistress and the toast list was as follows: Myrle Francis, Frances Whitmore, Hannah McCorkindale, Grace Horner, Clara McMahon and Florence Brain ard. Beatrice was reached in the middle of the afternoon, and a boat trip made up the river to the grove west of the city, where a picnic supper was pre pared. The return to Beatrice was I made early in the evening, dancing ' being enjoyed as the barge floated down stream. The party motored back to Lincoln late in the evening. Mr. and Mrs. Dan W. Carrie Moodie and Hallie Fishwood, and Hester Wyman and Wilford Harf zell led the grand march. The chap- Kappa Kappa Gamma entertained at a dancing party at Capitol beach Friday evening. About seventy cou ples were present. Mr. and Mrs Charles Lee and Mr. and Mrs. Ross P. Curtice were chaperons. DANCE FOR DELEGATES The delegates who attended the Women's Self-Government convention were entertained at a dance Friday evening at the Commercial club. The attendance was limited to members of the Girl's club council and Pan Hellenic representatives. Chancellor and Mrs. Avery, Dean and Mrs. For dyce, Mr. and Mrs. Max Westermann Professor and Mrs. Barbour, Dean and Mrs. Engberg, Professor and Mrs Grummann and Dean Mary Graham were chaperons. Thi Delta Theta gave a dance at the Lindell hotel Friday evening which was attended by about thirty five couples. The music was furnish ed by a colored orchestra from Omaha. William Becker, of Papillion, was a week-end visitor at the Sigma Ch house. Elizabeth Crawford, '18, who has been ill at her home in Omaha, has returned to college. Marie Finley, of Aurora, was a guest at the Alpha Phi house Saturday. The last regular meeting of the agricultural engineers will be held to morrow evening at 7:30 in A. M. 206. Prof. J. E. LeRossignol will speak on "The Value of a Commercial Educa tion to Engineers." The election of officers for next year will be held. All members of the D. G. V. who are going to the picnic, meet at Eleventh and O streets at 5:50 o'clock tonight The picnic will be held at the state farm grove. Come prepared to pay your dues. Dr. Edwin Maxey, E. E.'Carr and A. M. Hare were the judges at a de bate between Osceola and Clay Cen ter high schools at Osceola Wednes day night. Clay Center was given the unanimous decision. ELECT FIVE TODAY TO ATHLETIC BOARD (Continued from page 1? the board, before 12 o'clock noon on the Monday preceding the day of elec tion, a written statement in which he declares his desire to become a can didate and his intention to remain in the university the following year Sec 5 The secretary shall see that a list of all candidates for student membership shall be published in The Daily Nebraskan each publication day of the week preceding the date of the election. Sec. 6. At a meeting of the athletic board previous to the election three members of the faculty shall be ap pointed an election board who shall conduct the election. Sec. 7. Ballots. In addition to the names, there shall also be printed on the ballot the instruction: "Vote fore five (5)." All ballots which do nof show a vote for exactly five (5) of the recognized candidates shall be void. Name of the eligible candidates shall appear on the ballot in alpha betical order. The rules of the Australian ballot shall prevail. : Sec. 8. The five candidates having the highest number of votes shall be elected. Sec. 9. Protests, with reasons ana evidence for same, must be filed In writing with the secretary within two days after election. The ballots shall be retained by the secretary of the board until after the time for protest has expired. Sec. 10. In case of a vacancy In the student membership, the athletic board shall elect a new member to fill said vacancy. F. WEATHERBEE CIVIL ENGINEERING HEAD The Nebraska university society of civil engineers held its annual elec tion of officers, Wednesday evening. H. F. Weatherbee, '17, was elected president; G. C. Thatcher, '17, vice president; A. H. Stubbs, '17, secre tary; E. F. Borchert, '17, treasurer; J. L. Ferguson, '17, sergeant-at-arms. C. H. Collins, '16, outging treasurer, gave his report. Flans for the com ing year were discussed. LINCOLN HIGH '13 REUNION The class of 1913 of Lincoln high school will hold a reunion May 17 at the home of. Anna Luckey, Fortieth and Holdrege streets. Of the 159 members of the class about 75 are registered in the university.
