Seventy-five ornamental shrubs and
fruit trees from the office of foreign
seed plant introduction at Washing
ton, D. C, have just been received
by the department of horticulture at
the agricultural college, and will be
given a trial in the arboretum of the
experiment station orchard. These
are plants that the government thinks
may prove of economic value that
have been secured from abroad tot
experiment work in this country,
They are distributed to the various ex
periment stations for testing.
