Another banner will be given to the team winning the highest number of points. Entries may be made till May 6. All entries postmarked later than this date will not be accepted. FIFTEEN MEN FOR COMMERCE TEAM Reed Announces Sweaters and Loving Cup for Winning Nine Fifteen candidates for the school of commerce baseball team turned out for practice yesterday afternoon, anil worked out under the direction of Coach George Raceley. Dana Van Dusen, editor of the 1912 Cornhusker and who later graduated from the Harvard law college, is now connected with the .Omaha office of the legal department of the Union Pa cific railroad; E. Guy Reed, manager of athletics, has announced that the members of the team winning the inter-departmental championship will receiye sweaters and a loving cup. . DRILL PREVENTS SPRING WORKOUT Because of extra military drill on the athletic field yesterday afternoon, the first spring football practice could not be held. Some of the men got out in track suits and passed the ball around, but the scheduled workout had to be postponed until Friday. Captain Corey is enthusiastic over the spirit displayed by the men who lmnfl to make nlaces on the team next fall. The field of candidates was never larger nor more promising, and it is thought certain that at least four teams will be on the gridiron every night of practice. BASEBALL FEATURE OF GIRLnRACK MEET Annual Outdoor Event for May 3 or 4 Supervised Training for the Different Sports Tim frlrla' annual track meet will take' place either May 3 or 4 on the varsity athletic field. The big fea ture of the event will be the match baseball game between the freshmen and the sophomores. All university, girls are eligible to enter the meet, providing they train for the event. Medals will be given for the winners of track events and "N's" to those who have been a member of a class team and win a place in the track events. Baseball practice will be held at 1 o'clock on Monday, Tues day, Thursday and Friday; 10:30 o'clock on Thursday, and 2:30 o'clock on Tuesday and Thursday. Track practice, beginning next week, will take place at 10:30 o'clock on Mon day and Friday, and 2:30 o'clock on Monday and Friday and 4 o'clock on Tuesday and Thursday. Texas . Twenty-six men students have regis tered this term, making 2,412 in all, the largest number registered in all sessions during the history of the in stitution.
