KANSAS PLANNING REVENGE
Making Preparations to Retrieve Foot
ball Defeat by Double Victory
in Debate
Kansas is planning to retrieve her
downfall on the gridiron by taking
both ends of the debate between the
two universities December ICth. De
prived of the sweet fruits of victory
when the Cornhusker football team
invaded Lawrence, they have become
all the more determined to out-argue
their ancient rivals in the first meet
ing since 1904.
The two Nebraska teams, under the
coaching of Prof. M. M. Fogg, are at
the point of perfecting two argu
ments said to be destined to main
tain Nebraska's prestige on the ros
trum as well as the gridiron. The
negative squad, composed of Charles
! Sehofleld.'17. Lincoln; Guy u.
Chambers. Law, '16, Sidney; Harold J.
Ichwab. '16, Law '18, McCook, ana
Robert B. Waring, Law '17, Geneva,
feel confident that they have lined up
an array of logic that even the
foremost foe of preparedness, Mr.
Bryan, could listen to with advantage.
The affirmative team, made up of
Samuel C. Zimmerman, Law '16, Lin
coln; Everett C. Carr, Law '17, Beaver
City; Axel R. Swenson, '17, Oakland,
and Joseph L. Polk, Law '16, Louis
ville, have fortified themselves with
a miniature "armament" which is
promised to sweep away the pleadings
of their, opponents.
Tickets for the debate here Fri
day night, December 10, In the Templo
will be placed on sale December 1
&( Porter's and at the Temple. A
reduction of admission price has been
made by the business management
to 35 and 25 cents.
