We are wondering where Dean Engberg might have been dur
ing the recent rapid fire chess tournament. Professor LeRossignol
seems to have stepped into the limelight.
Henry Ford is surely going into the "Peace" matter right. He
is collecting his men, and on the fourth of December they will be
on the sea headed for Europe. We know that the University could
not have sent a better delegate than is "Will" Noble.
"Rain, snow, or hurricane, we will have that track meet Wednes
day," is the way Guy Reed states it. Determination wins.
It had been a long time previous to the Iowa rally, that the stu
cnlavpd as much enthusiasm as they did on that occasion.
Why is it not possible to preserve that enthusiasm for the debates
to be held here on the tenth of December? Why let it be said of
Nebraska that football is the only thing that will get the students outt
Show your spirit as well for the coming event as you have in the
past for football.

Miss Margaret Kunkel, '12, of Os
ceola, who has been substituting at
the Lincoln high school this year, has
been named instructor of agriculture
to succeed L. F. Garey, who resigned
about three weeks ago.
Mrs. Adelaide Thomas Latta, who
attended the University of Nebraska
in 1906, died at her home In Tekamah,
Wednesday night of typhoid-pneumonia.
She was a member of Kappa Kap
pa Gamma sorority. She special
ized in music.
The engagement of Elizabeth Hyde,
'14, to Charles W. Roberts, '06, was
announced last week. The wedding
will take place December 11, at the
home of the bride's sister, Mrs. T. A.
Kresselbach. Miss Hyde is a member
of Delta Gamma sorority. Mr. Rob
erts is a prominent business man of
Lincoln.
