KEEP HER DOWN
The Monarch is responsible for the statement that, "even
though Ames did defeat Iowa, the game to be played here next
Saturday will be a real fight." The one ambition of Ames was to
crush Iowa. She succeeded. Our one aim from now on must be to
keep Iowa crushed and that means that our enthusiasm must not
subside.
Not a few students are counting the days from now until the
time they will be able to eat Thanksgiving dinner with the folks at
home.
HOME-COMING MIXER
The big event planned for next Saturday evening is not alone
for the students but for the alumni as well. This does not mean
that the students are to stay away but that they should be on hand
to help entertain the "Old Guard." Everyone is familiar with the
fact that our facilities are not the best, but under the eircr stances,
make it a point to show the alumni what a great institution we
have developed in a year the Mixer.
It is not our policy to do advertising in this column, but keep
in mind that "Believe Me Xantippe" is not an ordinary play, it is
the result of the dramatic efforts of a Nebraska graduate of renown.
