Walter Eckersall, football expert of
the Chicago Tribune, who refereed the
Nebraska-Notre Dame game Saturday,
didnt have much to say before the
game, but .spoke ery favorably of the
Huskers after the battle.
"I have seen, the leading elevens
of the west Chicago, Illinois. Wiscon
sin and Minnesota in action, this sea
son, and I am convinced that Nebras
ka could hold her own with any of
these teams," said the former Maroon
star.
And later, through the columns of
the Tribune, he prophesies that foot
ball fans will "wait a long time before
they see another battle like the Nebraska-Notre
Dame game at Lincoln
Saturday.' '
