Rumor has it that plans for Exten
sion Week are receiving careful con
sideration by influential powers about
the campus. The Xebraskan votes in
favor of it.
The Peru Glee Club are coming to
entertain us. What has happed to
our Nebraska Glee Club? The men
practice all year, but seldom make an
appearance. What's the reason?
All basketball and track men who
have not had a physical examination
this semester should report at Dr.
Clapp's office immediately to make ap
pointment for same.

R. B. liCbas is finally out for Fresh
man president. Mr. lebas could not
be found last night to .confirm the re
port. But his frat brothers were quite
certain that he was in the race so it
is reasonably probable that he has
thrown his hat in the ring. So far he
is the only candidate for this office
but it is rumored that several Fresh
men are waiting to surprise men
friends by an eleventh hour announcement.
For the other offices the race is
about the Fame. No new candidates
have announced themselves nor have
those already entered signified any
intention of withdrawing. Rumor has
it that a dark horse is hard at work
among the Seniors and is only wait
ing for the complete organization be
fore announcing himself for the office.
In th meanwhile Sjogren and Zum
winkel are hard at work on their cam
paigns.
Ruth Sheldon and Perry Spencer
are the only ones who have entered
the Junior race. Both have been very-
much occupied with their studies the
last few days and have been laying
down on their campaigns somewhat
but their friends are busy working for
them.
The big race comes in the Sopho
more class. The fight here is between
Swenson, Hayes and Marsh. Swenson
is the only candidate who has declared
himself in favor of an agreement be
tween the several candidates for the
abolition of electioneering on the cam
pus election day.
Claar and Prey still have a clear
track for the Junior managing editor
ship and are running neck and neck
for the goal. Schwab is the only can
didate for the office of editor-in-chief
It is not likely that he w ill meet w ith
any opposition as he is the present
managing editor and precedent has al
ways given this office to the managing
editor.

The girls' swimming class may
never come to life for the lack of
twelve names on the list in the locker
room of the gymnasium. Forty girls
are required to make the class a real
ity. Twenty-eight girls have signed.
Any girl may join the class by signing
her name on the list in the locker
room. One dollar is the fee, which
entitles the signer to swim five times
in the Y. M. C. A. The girls' swim
ming class is an activity which has
been neglected in the past, but one
which should be enthusiastically sup
ported. Don't let the class fall through
just because of lack of interest.
