"This is a nice job for a man who don't care jvhat he says," remarked one of the University gardeners Tues day morning. He was engaged in mov ing the cactus into winter quarters. Some thirty-five varieties of these desert plants, most of which are un able to bear the rigors of a Nebraska winter, have occupied a bed at the southeast corner of University Hall during the summer. They range wide ly in size, shape, and prickliness. One Is more than seven feet tall. There is a spineless cactus, and one so formid able that it can be handled only by means of a rope tied around It.
