The resignation which E. M. Rut
ledgo submitted to the Board of Re
gents on February 16 takes effect to
day. Vancll K. Greer will take upiho
duties of registrar immediately. Mr.
Rutledge has been connected with the
registrar's office for many years. Ha
served as assistant registrar under

ledge graduated from tho University
In 1909. He Is a member of Alpha
Theta Chi and Phi Alpha Tau fraterni
ties. Tho reason for Mr. Rutledge's
resignation is that tho work on his
brother's ranch has become so great
that both men are needed to do It.
Mr. Greer assumed the duties of

oughly competent to fill his position.
