The play "Everymatron," given be
fore the Lincoln Women's Club by the
Homo department of the club in. the
Temple Theatre, Monduy aftcrnoonis
the-production of Prof. It. D. Scott of
the EngllBh Literaturo 'department..
The play resembles tho modern moral
ity play "Everywoman" in many wqyB,
although it has in it no male charac
ters. Twelvo characters participate
in the production, the principal ones
being "Vanity," "Pride," "Tempta
tion," '-'Happiness," "Troublo," and
"Reason.." "Everymatron" becomes
disgusted with lifo and in an attempt
to take her life is confronted by
"Reason," who nppearB in tho dark
and carries her into the future several
weeks, explaining tho advantages of
foresight nnd thinking. "Happiness"
confronts "Everymatron" with tho re
lighting of tho stago(for It is tempor
arily darkened) and conducts her
through a happier life.
Professor Scott finished this, the
