Ames. Last but not least, ho has a

that Beck Is ono of tho Stars -of tho
great Nebraska-Minnesota gamo of
last fall. Besides tw"o""years of foot
ball playing on tho Varsity, Beck was
one of tho most conspicuous baseball
players on tho Varsity last year.

third baso on the baseball team.
For a year Gordon showed a loaning
toward the profession of his father,
who was deputy state superintendent
from 1806 to 1900, by holding tho posi
tion of principal of tho ward school of
Wahoo In 1910 and 1911.
Rumor has it that Beck will bo in
school again next year. Thisv isl how
ever, 'discouraged ty Beck himself.
Ho says that business activities will
command his attention next year and
that his school days will then bo a
thing of tho pest
Mr. and Mrs. Beck, formerly known
as Charles Gordon Beck and Miss
Alice M. Smith,' will make their homo
in this city.
