Next Sunday, January IStli will bo

several weeks ago by the Uunivorslty
pastors and the Association Secre
taries, and the result Is that tho
churches in the city will recognize

The pastors of the churches have
shown great Interest with tho scheme

One purpose that tho committee had
In mind when tho plan was originated
was that a demonstration might be
given to the people of tho state that
the University student and the Uni
versity organizations as a whole do
not entirely lack that religious spark
as has been sometimes alleged.
Another object of the plan Is to start
the church going habit among the
ranks of those who have not taken
advantage of the opportunity to attend
church since their arrival at the uni
versity.
Tho Chancellor has expressed him
self as being favorable to the plan and
has shown much Interest in the event,
being very helpful to It.
The committee proposes to get out
cards the last or the week, the same
to be put in tho hands of every stud
ent. A few posters will also aid the
student in the selection of churches
for the coming event, and will servo
as a reminder to those who the least

It is to be a truly all university af

Innovation is Sprung by Audtior Tuck

en Out Monday.
The tickets for the Sparo-Styx Min
strel show have been validated. No
complimentary tickets will be vali
dated for this entertainment. L. B.
Tuckerman Jr. Auditor of Student or
ganizations. The above announcement comes as
a distinct surprise to most university
students after the complimentary lists
which are printed week after week In
the Dally Nebraskan. Sphani Styx
has sprung an innovation of a radical
nature although altogether desirable.
Tho conipllmentaries have been cut
out by action of the managers alto
gether voluntarily and without any
suggestion on tho part of university
authorities.
The unusual expense incurred in
the staking of the big fun festival Is
given as tho reason for this decision.
Elaborate stagings and costumes, most
of which comes from' Chicago will be
used. The mere incidental expenses,
when it is considered that sixty five
characters present the show, pile up
to no mean ligure. Consequently the
club has decided to issue no free
passes and to use every cent towards
payments of bills.
Blocks of seats were reserved by
almost all the organizations Saturday
morning. Seats went on general sale
Monday morning.
Soph Caps Appear on Campus.
Now is the time for the sophomore
to distinguish himself from the other
classmen on the campus. The caps
that are to be the distinguishing
feature have arrived and are on sale
downtown. The fact of their arrival
has not been well advertised but not
withstanding this there are many to
be seen on the campus.
