Texas Papers Say
U. of T. Wants Game
With Nebraska in 1914
Texas II. is hot after a game with
the Cornhuskers, according to Hous
ton papers. The Konghorns consider
themselves wasting time on the elev
ens of the Lone Star state and will
attempt to frame a schedule with j
worthier opponents such as Nebraska
for the 15)14 campaign. Notre Dame
whipped the Texans on Thanksgiving
day, but for reasons unasslgned they
will not be included in the Longhorns'
15)14 schedule.
The Grand Islandlndependent strikes
a popular chord when it says: "Really
N'ebraskans generally will not care
so much whether or not the State
University football crew becomes a
member ol the 'Big Ten ' Just so It
keeps on whiping the gridiron up with
Minnesota and Kansas"
lellows who feel that they are en
titled to some recreation will find this
Sunday afternoon meeting interesting
Young , and inst ructive.
