WOMEN TO WEAR BUTTONS

Because Frosh Badges Have
Not Come.
"Hy their green buttons ye shall
know them," so we have been told
many times, but where are the badges
which were to distinguish the women
of the class of 1917 from their more
enlightened upper class mates?
Sundry complaints have been heard
from various upperclassmen objecting
to their being addressed as "freBh
man." They demand that their dig
nity be shielded from such insults by
making the first-year women don their
button of green
"And so they shall in a little while,"
Harriet O'Shea, '16, president of the
Green Button Society, informs us.
"The buttons have been delayed in
the making, but we expect them in
about two weeks "
Then before a month elapses we
expect to mount the hill safe In the
knowledge that we may recognize and
thus patronize the freshman by the
symbol of green she wears.
