Not main candidates have announced their intention to enter the qualifying .examinations lor the Rhodes scholar ship to Oxford I'niveisiU It is under stood that Weslean and the Univer sit will have at least one entrant each, and a lew may enter Irom the smaller colleges of the state The examinations will be held Tues da and Wednesday, the 11th and lfth of this month On Tuesday the exam inations will consist of translations from Latin to Knglish (0-11 a m ), Latin prose (1-H p. in.), and arithmetic (4 ti p. in.). On Wednesday the exam inations will cover translations from Creek o English (9-11 a. in.). Latin grammar (l-i p m.), (J reek grammar (2-10-:! 10 p. in.), and algebra or geom etry (4-f p. m ). The examinations will be held m the faculty room of the Temple with Pro fessor Brightman of Wesleyan, Profes sor Persinger of the University in charge.
