Three sororities have moved Into south Lincoln, while one fraternity and one sorority have moved from the eastern part of the city closer to the campus The Delta Gamma sorority has moved to 1037 V street from their former home at Fourteenth and Q streets The Pi Heta Phi's have taken a new home at 1040 G street, having formerly been at the corner of Thir teenth and R. Mrs. Samuel Avery will be at home to the ladies of the faculty from 2:30 to 5 o'clock on the afternoons of Wed nesday, September 24 and October 1, at 2001 Washington street. The in vitation includes the wives of the iprofessorB and the women teachers of the university. On Friday evening of September 2G, Chancellor and Mrs. Avery will be at home from 8 to 11 to the members of the faculty and their wives. The Kappa Kappa Gumma's have moved from their home in oast Lin coln to 330 North Fourteenth street, while Sigma Phi Epsllon has made a similar change, taking the former home of Professor Condra at 1319 Q street. The Alpha Phi's secured their new location after having leased a house last summer at 1615 F street. The owner after he had signed the lease sold the property to other parties. Up on the threat on the (part of the sor ority to sue for broach of the lease, the owner paid them $750 in compromise of their claim. THE! Sunday afternoon the art gallery, in Library Hall, was open for the first time in its history on Sunday after noon. This year this will bo one of its features, and from 2 to 5 the doors will be opened to the general and uni versity public. The hours governing week-day open ing will be the same as last year, ac cording to Director Grumann. That is, from 10 to 12, and from 2 to r. Tin- gallery has been very attrac tively prepared for use this fall, in that a number of the pictures have been rframed and regrouped. Miss Hayden's ( opies of some of the great masterpieces are included among these, together with several of the pictures belonging to the Nebraska Art Association.
