It would seem peitectly con HlnttMit with established habits of Uni veraity recreation, that the University provide for the dance it tolerates To refloor the armorj would cohi much leas than we now pay in rent for down town bulla. The biggest single piece of work is to clean up the armory It would take at least six months of hard work to remove the accumula tions of sweat and tilth that for more than twenty years have made the gym nasium a veritable pest house. The next big job Is the regirder and refloor the armory It might even be neces sary to take out the permanent parti tion between the chapel and the gym nasium and substitute in its place the rolling partition. Minor improvements such as dressing rooms, cloak rooms, sitting rooms and the like might also prove an indispensable convenience. It is estimated that the cost of all this work of making the armory a modest ly suitable place for a University will be four thousand dollars; or only five hundred dollars more than the amount of rent annually extorted from Univer sity students for the same purpose by the Lincoln hotel.
