KANSAS CITY POST GIVES THREE HUSKERS PROMINENCE All Missouri Valley Team As Picked By Sporting Editor Includes Carrier, Haskall and Stryker. In the approaching haskcthall games witli the Kaunas Ja hawks the only advantage and prestige which the CornhuBkers will have will he the fact that they have been defeating the Kanflaiifl with peculiar regularity for the la8t throe years In the seaHon of 1010-11 under the leadership of Captain Hutchinson the varsity ball tORsers were able to win three out of four games Kansas had a fast team at that time and in their second game with the Iluskers the Jayhawkers managed to outplay them However they have not repeated that night's performance for two years and from indications they will not for some time. In 1912, Kansas was not able to win a game from Nebraska although the scores were very even in most of the games. The two games which were played at Lawrence were both won by the score of 26-30 in favor of Nebras ka. The last two games were played at Lincoln. In the first of these, Kan sas did not put up a very good fight and it was more or less of a walk away for Nebraska. In the second one the Jayhawkers put up one of the scrappiest games possible and as a consequence the tenement dwellers barely nosed out a victory. The games this year should be. even bettor than last years were and the fact that Kansas is so confident of victory leads basketball authorities to believe that they will uncork something. ! C. H.
