received notice of his appointment to
West Point military academy- Elmer
Almquist, '16, of Wahoo, an Alpha Tau
Omega pledge, was the recipient of
this unexpected goods news the other
day. Mr. Almquist Is a freshman In
tho arts and science college and ex
pected to enter the medical college
next year.
This is the second man that haB
been appointed from this school dur
ing the last two weeks. W. V. Cow-
gill, a resident of Lincoln, being the i
(lrBt to receive the apointiuent. Aim-
qulst and C'owglll will take the ex- j
amlnations in April and if successful '
leave for the east in June, when the
school starts. i
