The V M. C. A girls at the Farm
are giving a Christmas party in Home
Economics Hall Saturday eve. All girls
of the Farm arc invited it they hand
in their names by Wednesday fore

machines from various manufacturers,
and is providing quite a little work

About one-half of the new military
suits lor the Farm cadets do not fit
and this is causing trouble in the
Quartermasters ofllce. The suits are
being checked over and marked and
will be re-tailored downtown. The
Cadets are Supposed to fall in in full
uniform.

Practice is on Tuesday and Thurs
day nights at the University Gym and
so far the men have turned out well
There are a number of men who are
exceptionally good at the game, and
some beginners who are picking It up
fast. A schedule of the year will be
announced in a short time, which from
indications will he a heavy one.

Missouri Valley Conference next
spring as a romilt of the boosting of
the game by Coach Griffith and en

held under the auspices of the Drake
Golf Association, which has Invited
representatives of other conference
schools to participate in the tourna
ment. Golf is participated in to quite a
considerable extent by a number of
schools of the Valley. Ames boasts of
seeral pursuers of the gutta percha.

The Farm has two literary societies,
the Daviuson and the Ophellion Both
societies are well established, eac n
having in the neighborhood of 100
members at the present time.
At the first meeting of the Daviuson

At a recent meeting of the Ophel
llons the question, "Direct Election of
United States Senators" was debated.

bers for their programs, some coming
from the memfjers and others from
the University School of Music S. B.
