THE DAILY NEBBASKAN WORK AGAIN GOES SMOOTHLY KANSAS ' NOT ON SCHEDULE Thanksgiving Vacation Hat No Ef fect On Study Many Eventa Before Christmas. The HludentH have uelzed the books bo hnHtlly dropped but a few days ago and are again attending their cluBBeH with accuHtonied regularity. One can scarcely icnllze that there haH been a vocation which cnuHcd a ceaBatlon of study and social actlvitlcH for a time Refreshed by the brief roHplte granted them, thoy are physically able to en dure more seveie HtralnH upon their norvouR HyateniB Perhapw the bene flclal exerclHe received at home, Huch as replenishing the family woodbox or helping mother renovate the house with a good old fashioned bioom Is Jnrgely roHpontilble for this Everything him taken on a different aspect, although work Is tightening up" considerably on account of the near approach of the ChrlBtmas vaca tion. Even the dally lectures do not eom such Incomprehensible balder dash afl they did Just before the pros sure was lifted Yet even though we are ambitious and anxious to improve our time In study, wo muBtt not overlook some -thing else. One should be warned by lile recent nervous breakdown and as sure himself that It will not occur again. There are several big Boclal events In the next two weeks and all are held on Frida or Saturday nights. Therefore one should not have a valid xcuBe for not attending some or all of them The first big eent Is the Cornhusker Banquet, held next Friday night No Jyal male supprter of the team should fail to be present at this banquet. It Is such occasions as this that NebraH ka men get together for the building of n better and more unified N'ebrska Next In order on Saturday, Dec. 7, Is the Engineering Hop and tho Agri cultural Club Hop. These should ap peal to all thoBo who love to trip the Jlght fantastic toe Upon Friday, Dec 13, is tho Nebraska-Illinois debate at the Memorial Hall. This is the last big social event before vacation, and will be unusually good, as It Is limited to ninety couples Accordin gto the catalogue vacation commences Monday, 8 a. m., and ends January 4, Saturday, 12 in. Buster. Jayhawker Paper Gives Information That Game With Nebraska Not Wanted This Year. Kansas does not care to meet Ne braska In basketball this year. "Will not schedule game If avoidable" Is the position they take in the Bchool pa per. From the Jayhawk viewpoint tho trouble originated last spring when Coach Stiehm refused to arrange for a post season series on the grounds that most of the team would be scattered over the state on their Easter vaca tions. As to the fact that Kansas was rather badly boaten last year they make no reference. But then, of course, from tho Jayhnwk standpoint that, too, Is easily explained. Surely this is a hard, hard world, whore even our old enemies lose heart in the testing out proceBB. Fuzz. YOUR ROOM- Does it need one or two more posters or art pictures?
