THE DAILY NEIIRAHKAN r BUT FEW UNI GRADS EIGHT OUT OF 179 POLITICAL CAN DIDATES ARE NEB. GRADS. SMALL NUMBER OUT OF FIELD Nebraskan Checks Up List of Candi dates on State Ticket College Men In Legislature Are Few In Number. Of the 179 candidates for legislative and executive offices on this fall's state ticket, the small number of eight Is all that represents University of Nebraska graduates A number of others were found to have spent two or three years on the campus, and still others are graduates or attendents of other schools, hut the number of Ne braska graduates is very small. These figures were brought to light during the course of an investigation that the Dally Nebraskan has been carrying on. Much has been said this fall concerning the desirability of electing men to office who favored the interests of the University, and the resulting Investigation finds that of these men but eight are graduates Added to these men, provided they are elected, will be a number of loyal Nebraskans who did not finish here but are pulling for the old school So that the number of college men In the Legislature and in Congress Is bound to be strong and a force to be reck oned with. The Nebraska graduates on the tick et are as follows; D. 13. Glbbert, '07 A. B., of Fremont; candidate for United States Senator on the prohibition ticket. Paul F.
