of work in tho University of Nebraska

tho board.
UpperclasBmcn on Board.
Tho board is almost imariably com
posed of juniors and seniors, so tho
best chance for election seems to be
given tho candidates who are sopho
mores or juniors at the time or the
election. The viewpoint of the stu
dent body seems to be that older
classmen have bad more opportunity
to study the needs of t'nhersity ath
letics and so are better fitted for mem
hership on the board Ixnser class
men have in several instances m the
past been elected, however, and aie
entirely eligible tinder the rules
All formal applications must be in
Dr. Clapp's hands by Monday, May 1,'i,
at twehe o'clock No names will ap
pear on the ballot which are tiled
later than this time Names of candi
dates will be in alphabetical order on
tho ballot and the election will be
held under the Australian system
No college or class distinction what
"ever will distinguish any manVname.
The election will be conducted by
the raculty members of tho board a
week from the date of closing tho fil
ing of applications, Monday, May 20.
Polls will he in Memorial hall and will
be open from !i::;o to 1 li -:j and 1:30
to 1::!0 The question or eligibility
of voters will be decided by a com
plete list of male students in the I'ni
versity who satisfactorily completed
twelve hours work last semester
Any oversight or mistakes on this list
can be corrected by special cert ill
cates from the registrar. About eight
hundred and lift men are eligible to

gning out and counting the ballots
may become quite a task
