The Cornhusker Gloo club la Badly
In need of tenors, both first and sec
ond. At the first of the year tho va
cant places in tho club were filled
by competition In a series of tryouts.
but several have beon forced to drop
out because thoy failed to make
twelve hours of their first semester's
work and othors have left Bchool,
leaving a number of openings. An
effort will be made to fill these Mon
day evening at 8:00 o'clock In the
Music hall at tho Tomple. Tho judgeB
have not been definitely decided upon,
oxcept that Prof. Arvid SamuelBon,
director of tho club, will overseo the
selection of new members. Contest
ants are requested to bring with them
a solo which they can sing to give tho
judges an Idea of their ability.
Somo now music, considered very
fine, hns JuBt arrived. One especially,
"Tho Blue Danube Waltz," Is thought
to bo ono of tho prettleBt ever at
tempted by a Nebraska glee club.
Arrangements for the annual trip to
Omaha and Sioux City aro still under
way, with little hope of tho trip be
ing taken beforo tho first part of
April at tho earliest. The Mandolin
club will probably accompany the
Glee club on this tour. Tho date of
tho bomo( concert has not been Bet.
At a new election of officers last
week the following men were select
ed: Fred Keith, president; E. C. Sage,
vico president; C. L. Clark, secretary
treaaurer; P. C. Grant, librarian.

The wroHtling squad of the Univer
sity Is to compete Saturday. in tho an
nual alnateur athletic union meet to
bo held under tho auspices of the
KanBas City Athletic club at Kansas
City. Nebraska will bo represented
In all four classes: Wharton in the
lightweight, Ruby in the welter, Miller
in the middleweight and McCormick
in the heavy. Ruby and Miller were
on the squad last year which won the
championship of tho Western Inter
collegiate association. Besides the
meet at Kansas City, Nebraska will
compete in dual meetB with Iowa and
Kansas Universities and enter into
the western intercollegiate to be hold
at Urbana, 111.
