Dr. B. P. Meinecke, of the United
States Forest Service, has wired that
ho will bo In Lincoln this morning.
He is on his way to the Pacific coast
and has only stopped for a short time.
While ho is here the Forest Club is
planning to give him a dinner.
Mr. Clarenco Gallbralth, of Beemer,
and Miss Melle Graham, of Greston,
are to bo married today at the homo
of the bride's parents at Creston,
Rev. C. E. Carrol, of Lincoln, went to
Creston this morning to officiate at
the wedding. Both of the young peo
ple were students in the University
last year.
MIbb Liva Lichty, who attended the
University six years ago, is teaching
school at East Las Vegas, Now
Mexico.
Prof. H. F. Roberts, professor of bot
any at Manhattan, Kansas, is in Lin
coln visiting Nebraska University's
botany department.
Professor Johannsen, of the Univer
sity of Copenhagen, who arrived yes
terday from Minneapolis, Is the guest
of Dr. Wilcox. Yesterday, at noon,
Dr. Wilcox gave a dinner In the pro
fessor's honor. About ten botany
people were present.
Miss Eva Morris, Y. W. C. A. stu
dents' secretary for the north central
territory, will bo at the University
next week. She will speak at the
Tuesday Y. W. C. A. meeting and meet
with the various committees through
the week.

Burton Hill has been confined to his
homo with a nervous breakdown for
the past two days. The ailment is tho
result of overwork and, whllo not very
serious, will probably keep him in
doors for some time.
