day to spend a few days with hiff

H. L. Fiske, 10, is now with the
Panama railroad.
Prof. T. B. Sears, formerly of the
department of Civil Engineering, now
connected with the University of Cali
fornia, haB been very 111 this winter,
but has recovered.
MIbb Howell of the Elocution de
partment and Prod McConnell, chair
man of the Junior Play committee,
wont to Omaha Friday to purchase
supplies for "A Royal Family," which
the juniors will present at the Oliver
February 23. The play will be a cos
tume play and Oscar Lieben has the
contract for the costuming.

Mrs. Wright and her daughter Mar

spend Sunday at the Sigma Chi house.
Mario Douglas, Alpha Phi, 1914, left
yesterday for Plattsmouth to spend
Saturday and Sunday at homo.
Clyde Leiphart, Medic 1914, who is
traveling for the Nebraska Bible
House, is visiting at the Phi Gam
house.
Bert Drako, 1913, Kappa Sigma, who
has been out of school during the
past semester with a severe case of
typhoid fever, has registered for this
semester's work.

L. M. Huntington, Eng. '04, is now
located at Azua, Republlca Dominica,
in charge of preliminary railroad sur
veys. Mr. Huntington has not been

but expects to return with his family
for a visit some time thiB year. He
will probably be in Lincoln in Octo
ber or November. He has been very
successful in the tropics. At present
he is associated with five other
American engineers, but of late their
work has been largely suspended ow
ing to tho assassination of the presi
dent of tho 'republic.

day, Mr. A. B. F. Moore of Cedar
Rapids, la., will bo tho speaker. Prof.
August 'Hagonow, violinist, will fur
nish tho music.

will hold a conference at Cotner Uni
versity, Saturday and Sunday. To
day's meetings will be at 9:30 o'clock

evening, and Sunday's meetings at
9:30 o'clock in tho morning and 7:00
o'clock In tho evening.

Sheldon Preparing Bulletin.
A bulletin is being prepared for
publication by Mr. Sheldon of tho leg
islative department on "Nobraska
Municipalities." This Dullotin will bo
of a statistical nature and will show
the methods of taxation and special
assessment and the budget In general.
It will alBo deal with the ownership
of public utilities, charges for services
and the amount raised for municipal
revenues.

Military Exam Announced.
There Beems to be doubts in the
minds of somo as to the exact date
of the examination In theoretical drill.
This examination will be held Wednes
