moot. Preliminaries for tho big ovont
will bo hold this afternoon at tho Ar
mory, tho representatives of tho ton
fratornltlcs entered clashing there at
4 o'clock.
Ninoty-nino men are entered In tho
moot this yoar. Teams from tho Al
pha Tau Omega, Alpha Thota Chi,
Delta Tau Doltn, Bota Theta PI, Kap
pa Sigma, Phi Delta Thota, Phi Gam
ma oDlta, Dolta Upsilon, Phi Kappa
Psl and Sigma Alpha EpBllon being

LaBt night on tho gymnasium floor
tho Betas suffered a defeat at tho
hands of the Kappa Slgs 12 to 7. Tho
game was fast throughout and the
usual roughness that characterizes In-ter-frat
basketball was present. Both
teams lacked nothing In the way of
support from loyal rooters.

Tho Y. M. C. A. committee in
charge of tho cafeteria has llnally ar
rived at a decision in regard to tho
management and has appointed Ralph
W. Orr to OH that position. He will
tako charge immediately, and will
ovorseo tho installation of the furnish
ings. Mr. Orr is registered as a special
student In tho arts and science col
lego, and has bcon taking work at Ne
braska for Bovoral years. Ho is mak
ing a special study of education.
Ho has had experience in this line
of work. Ho was formerly in charge
of tho dining service of tho Lincoln
Commercial Club, and whllo thoro tho
affairs of tho dining room were put
on an offlclent paying basis.
During tho past week a largo steel
range, weighing about one ton, arrived
and has been placed in the basement
of tho Temple. Mr. Orr will havo
charge of tho installation of this
range and of all the equipment, which
Is due to arrive soon. As yet noth
ing haB been dono oxcopt tho rebuild
ing and enlarging of tho kitchen, but
as fast as tho equipmont arrivos It will
bo put in placo.

past in Nebraska sports.
When tho regents decided that tho
noisy laws deserved a building of
tholr own they also decided that it
must bo built on tho ground now occu
pied by tho tonnis courts. At prosent
tho tennis men can find no other place
about tho campus that would bo avail
able for. tho popular pastime. Thoro
Is no spaco loft on tho athletic field.
Tho only placo possible just now
would bo on tho two lots on the north
west corner of Tonth and U streets.
Those lots aro now occupied by a cou
ple of houses which tho Univorslty
rontB. With tho addition of another
lot thoro would be room for at least
threo courts.
If the regents would concede this
property to tho tonnis men tho houses
could bo cleared and the grounds ar
ranged with tho money now in the
tennis association's treasury.
