Esther Anna Louisa PoterBon,
daughtor of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Pet
erson, died of typhoid at 7:26 o'clock
Tuesday ovoning. She was Blxtoon
years of ago and a student in tho Lin
coln high school. Sho was taken ill
with typhoid about four weeks ago.
Funeral services will ho hold from the
Swedish Lutheran church at Four
teenth and K streets at 2:30 o'clock
Thursday afternoon. Interment will
bo at Wyuka. Tho father of tho ded
ceased is janitor of University hall.
Arvid Samuolson, a professor In
tho Conservatory of Music, 1b training
a Swedish malo chorus which will
give a benefit concort in tho Tomplo
in March.
Tho engagement of Miss Mario Al
len and Dean Woodard, two former
University students, has been Kn
nouncodd. MIsb Allen grauated from
tho school of music in 1911. Mr.
Woodard will graduato from tho Col
lego of Mediclno in 1913. Ho is a
member of Delta Tau Delta. Tho wed
ding will take placo in June.
MrB. E. A. Cobb of Harlan, la., has
been tho guest of hor daughter, Cecil,
at tho Delta Gamma house tho last
fow days.
Carroll Nichols, '14, has roturned to
his homo In Konesaw, but oxpects to
bo back in school noxt semester.

has boon out of school for threo
woks, ill with typhoid fever, Is improv
ing and hopos to bo back in Bchool
