IT IS UP TO YOU
The Daily Nebraskan Is the official college paper.
It endeavors to print all of the news all of the time.
It Is read by 99 per cent of the students 15 per cent of the stu
dents subscribe for It. Absolutely awful and at a neighboring de
nominational college, of over 1,000 students, 65 per cent of the stu
dents pay $2.50 per year for their collego sheet.
The "Rag" could bo Improved In appearance, In size, In news
value, and an advertisement of Nebraska If Its circulation could be
enlarged. Readers bring advertising, advertising pays the bills and
It takes money to run.
The present subscription list Is the best ever, the debt Is not
as big as it was a few months ago, but still the tide Is at low ebb.
If 500 new subscribers not renewals can be secured this week,
the paper will be enlarged. Can Nebraska do It? Will you do your
share?

tral National Bank, presented his ar
guments against tho Aldrlch plan of
currency reform yesterday boforo Pro
fessor Lo Dosslgnol's clasB In Monoy
and Banking, Ho reviewed tho his
tory of panics in America and Europo
for tho last century, showing that it
Is tho breakdown of credit, not tho
scarcity of monoy, which causes those
financial upheavals.
Ho argued that legislation such as
Aldrlch suggested would bo Ineffec
tive in preventing panics, because it
could not cair&Muilt to wild specula
tion, tho real cause of financial dis
turbances. Dr. Hall's address aroused much in
